Nouveaux Tigres

René Boivin's tiger-themed jewelry pieces are iconic examples of the maison's mastery of bold and naturalistic design. These creations showcase the Art Deco fascination with exoticism, featuring sleek, stylized representations of tigers in dynamic poses. Crafted with meticulous detail, the pieces often incorporate yellow diamonds, enamel, and intricate metalwork to evoke the tiger's fierce beauty and power. These designs embody Boivin's innovative spirit, blending elegance with a touch of the wild, and remain highly sought after by collectors for their unique artistry and connection to the golden age of haute joaillerie.

These Designs were created during my MBA program at the Haute École de Joaillerie, were we were tasked to relaunch an brand, and I was in charge of product development. For this theme, I chose to be inspired by René Boivin iconic Tigers motif pieces.

The designs are more classical, focusing on the animal figure, and how it interacts with the stones and wearer. Use of 18kt Yellow Gold, with bursts of Chrysoprase and Emerald beads against sections of Tigers Eye stone and Yellow Diamond and black enamel for the Tigers, and as the necklace showcases a large Mexican Fire Opal Cabochon.
